Celebrate spooky season with these fun Long Island Halloween events.

Halloween can be such a fun holiday. Costume parties, trick-or-treating, and pumpkin carving, there are so many family-friendly activities to enjoy this time of year. This season just happens to be a favorite among our real estate agents, who never have a hard time getting into the spooky holiday spirit.

Enjoying Halloween is easy when you live on Long Island. Our communities host many fun events and activities for kids and adults. If you're looking for some of the best Halloween activities this year, we have a list for you:

  • The Great Jack-o'-Lantern Blaze - 1303 Round Swamp Rd, Old Bethpage, NY 11804
Come see elaborate displays of hand-carved jack-o'-lanterns presented in artistic arrangements at The Great Jack-o'-Lantern Blaze. The event features more than 7,000 pumpkins and some picture-worthy installations. Plus, the tour is set to fun music. The event takes place on select days throughout October and early November and takes about 30 to 45 minutes. While you're in the area, be sure to explore these Nassau County homes for sale.

  • Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks Halloween Celebration - 431 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901
Head over to the Long Island Aquarium for a costume party and trick-or-treating experience for kids. The Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks Celebration is an awesome family-friendly fall activity this year. There are raffles, crafts, games, and several animals will be participating in the event as well. The celebration takes place on October 29 from 10 am to 4 pm, and it's free with admission to the aquarium.

  • The Long Island Monster Gallery - 47A Roselle St, Mineola, NY 11501
Want to try an immersive experience dedicated to monsters, horror, and Halloween movies? You must check out the Long Island Monster Gallery. It's two floors of cinematic showcases of more than 30 monsters with lighting, music, and theatrics. The artistry is absolutely amazing. There are no jump scares or actors, so a tour through this gallery makes for a perfect family-friendly Halloween event. Plus, the monsters are designed by professional artists from around the world.

  • Halloween House - 1500 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590
Another great immersive experience, the Halloween House Long Island is one of Long Island's most popular Halloween attractions. Step into a Halloween world full of your favorite themes, including Stranger Things and A Nightmare Before Christmas. This is an enjoyable, family-friendly artistic experience — there are no actors or jump scares. A tour takes about 45 minutes, and tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids under 10.

  • Halloween Harvest Festival - 32-01 Vernon Blvd, Astoria, NY 11106
October 29 is the Halloween Harvest Festival in Socrates Sculpture Park. Enjoy dance performances, costume-making workshops, a dog costume contest, and the second annual "Flight of the Gourds" pumpkin carving contest. Plus, enjoy tons of great food from a specially curated list of international vendors. The event runs from 12 pm to 5 pm and is full of Halloween fun.
