Experiencing classical music live is something you'll never forget, especially performances by these Long Island groups.

Letting yourself get swept away by the mesmerizing sounds and harmonies of a symphony orchestra is an enchanting and emotional experience — and it's one that our real estate agents very much enjoy. A well-performed symphony is a great combination of power and beauty, and there is nothing quite like it. There are several high-quality ensembles across Long Island that put on stunning performances for our communities throughout the year. If you'd like to check some out, we wrote down a quick list of some of our favorite orchestras.

  • Orchestra Long Island
This group, which was founded in 2017, works to carry on the musical legacy of the formal Long Island Philharmonic, which believed every Long Island community deserves to have a professional orchestra. Today Orchestra Long Island (OLI) performs large-scale concerts across the island. From summer music in the parks events to professional concert halls, Long Island residents have the chance to enjoy music from this orchestra all year round.

  • Long Island Concert Orchestra
This talented orchestra is based in Patchogue, but they perform across New York City and Long Island. Led by Italian conductor Enrico Fagone, the Long Island Concert Orchestra plays a variety of traditional classical pieces during each performance. There is a good chance they'll be planning a concert near one of these Nassau County homes for sale in the coming months.

  • Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra
    The Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra
has been known as one of the best orchestras on Long Island for over 38 years. This group brings world-class soloists and spectacular performances to venues across the island. Now they serve as Orchestra-in-Residence at the Nassau County Museum of Art where they produce video concert events and chamber music. They also have two special performances planned in 2023: a "Classic Romantics" set on October 15 and a "Sounds of the Season" holiday special on July 10. Both take place at the Alfred G. Berner Middle School in Massapequa.

  • Sound Symphony
This group brings all the sights, sounds, and excitement of professional orchestra music to the North Shore. Sound Symphony puts on performances summer pop performances in Westhampton Beach, Cutchogue, East Setauket, and many other venues near these Suffolk County homes for sale. With the goal to bring classical music appreciation to Suffolk County, the orchestra was founded in 1984, and most of its members are music educators.

  • Long Island Chamber Music
You might catch this collection of professional musicians performing at concert halls, parks, libraries, churches, and community centers across Long Island. Long Island Chamber Music (LICM) puts on captivating, relevant, and compelling concert performances for residents all across the island. They're also dedicated to promoting musicians from communities that have been historically underrepresented in the classical music field. They often perform intimate string or woodwind quarter shows at small outdoor venues during the summer.

Classical music is an important part of Long Island culture, so treat yourself to a stunning performance by one of these many phenomenal ensembles. Contact us today for more information about local home listings.
