With these Long Island attractions and activities, you're sure to make this fall a memorable one.

With colorful foliage, crisp air, and fun activities, it's easy to see why Fall in Long Island is a wonderful time of year. We are home to many local farms and pumpkin patches where you can have a blast with the whole family. Hayrides, corn mazes, apple cider, and U-Pick pumpkins are seasonal highlights around our communities. Our real estate agents always recommend a visit to one of these farms for the quintessential Long Island fall experience.

  • Schmitt's Farm - 26 Pinelawn Rd, Melville, NY 11747
With hayrides, a petting zoo, and U-pick pumpkins, Schmitt's Farm is the place to be this fall. It's also the place to pick up delicious produce and freshly baked pies. If you stick around until after dark, you're in for quite a scare, as the haunted house and haunted corn trail open to those who are brave enough. Seasonal festivities run from September 23 through October 30, and make sure to arrive early on weekends, as the farm fills up fast!

  • Lewin Farms - 812 Sound Ave, Calverton, NY 11933
Pick your own pumpkins and gourds, or explore a corn maze at Lewin Farms. This family-owned and operated farm has fun fall activities, but it's also known for its fresh and delicious produce. While you're there,  stock up on apples, carrots, cabbage, and more at the farm stand, which is open every day except Tuesdays. The general farm is open daily through November 22.

  • Fink's Country Farm - 6242 Middle Country Rd, Wading River, NY 11949
It's not too hard to get into the fall spirit while visiting Fink's Country Farm. There are many activities to enjoy, including hay rides, a corn maze, U-pick pumpkins, live music, play areas, and much more. Admission is $10 per person on weekends; however, some activities may require additional fees. U-pick customers can enter for free on weekdays from 4 to 5.

  • Long Island Game Farm - 489 Chapman Blvd, Manorville, NY 11949
The Long Island Game Farm has always been a popular autumn destination on Long Island. The park is home to over 200 animals, many of which are available for kids to feed. The park has historically hosted numerous fall activities, including vendors, a farm stand, and face painting. While you're in the neighborhood, schedule your tour of one of these beautiful Nassau County homes for sale.

  • Elwood Pumpkin & Christmas Tree Farm - 1500 E Jericho Turnpike, Huntington, NY 11743
Elwood Pumpkin & Christmas Tree Farm is Long Island's most western pumpkin farm. All pumpkins are grown onsite and priced by size. Visitors can enjoy a 20-acre wagon tour through the Christmas tree farm, and there is also a small corn maze for kids. The farm is open from 10 am to 5 pm on weekends and 3 pm to 5 pm on weekdays. If you love the farm, we highly recommend one of these stunning Huntington homes for sale down the road.

Grab your pumpkin spice latte and head on over to your favorite local farm for some autumn fun. If you'd like to live on Long Island, contact us to start your home search.
