Long Island restaurants are the perfect spots to escape the cold weather and enjoy comforting food and atmosphere. Here are the places you should visit.

One of the best ways to embrace the beautiful fall weather is by visiting a restaurant with great food and a cozy interior. Hearty meals like pasta, burgers, and soups taste so much better this time of year, especially when enjoyed in a mood-lit, warm dining room. Many restaurants even add delightful seasonal dishes and drinks to their menu.

Dining out this time of year is highly enjoyable, and Long Island is full of warm, comfortable restaurants where you can enjoy a nice meal this fall. Our real estate agents curated a list of some of our favorite locations.

  • REPEAL - 55 New Hyde Park Rd, Garden City, NY 11530
Classic American fare in a cozy, dimly-lit bar-room atmosphere, REPEAL is a classic neighborhood bar & grill with a big-city vibe in Garden City. They're well-known for their fantastic beer selection which features classics from many Long Island breweries. There is no shortage of comfort food selections like Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Philly Cheesesteak, and The French Dip. The kitchen is open daily until midnight.

  • The Saloon - 1016 W Beech St, Long Beach, NY 11561
With live music and beer specials, Sunday nights at The Saloon are a lot of fun. This Long Beach restaurant changes its food offerings with the seasons, and the fall and winter menus are loaded with cozy favorites that will warm you right up like Chicken Pot Pie and Saloon Jambalaya. The interior has a homey Irish pub vibe, and you'll want to take advantage of the awesome patio seating when the weather permits.

  • The Wild Rose - 1660 New Hwy, Farmingdale, NY 11735
Another great neighborhood eatery, The Wild Rose offers weekly live entertainment and a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 pm. Enjoy great drink specials and delicious food. Highlights of the fall menu include comfort classics like French Onion Soup, Chop Steak, and Rigatoni ala Vodka. While you're in the area, we highly recommend a tour of one of these stunning Farmingdale homes for sale.

  • The Third Rail - 216 Pettit Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710
Nothing says cozy dining like a large bowl of Guinness Beef Stew. With tender chunks of steak, savory gravy, and egg noodles, it's delicious. You can order a tasty bowl of this dish at The Third Rail, a neighborhood Irish-themed pub. With live music throughout the week, wing-day Sundays, and fun atmosphere, this restaurant is a true community gem. It also happens to be conveniently located near some of our favorite Bellmore homes for sale.

  • Jeremy's Ale House - 239 Woodcleft Ave, Freeport, NY 11520
Jeremy's Ale House originally opened as a beer and sandwich shop in a flea market near the current South Street Seaport Museum. Today, it's one of the area's best places for fresh seafood. Enjoy waterfront views and great beer. The restaurant's interior has a fun, dive bar feel to it, and it's open daily until 12 am.

With so many excellent restaurants, choosing where to have dinner will be one of the toughest decisions of the day. Contact us today for more information on Long Island living.
