Catching a live show is the perfect winter activity that's fun for the whole family. Here's where you can find some of the best live performances this winter.

Live performances can inspire, engage, and entertain, and attending them is one of our favorite wintertime activities. From concerts to musicals, and classic theater to new works, you'll find it all across Long Island's network of world-class theaters. Our real estate agents highly enjoy catching a show on the weekends, and we love the fact that Long Island has always had a rich theater and arts scene. We highly recommend checking out the live performance schedules at these Long Island theaters this year.

  • The Paramount - 370 New York Ave, Huntington, NY 11743
A 2-level concert hall in Huntington attracts both local artists and touring acts from all over the world. The Paramount has hosted Billy Joel, Ed Sheeran, and dozens of well-known performers, and the upcoming schedule is full of award-winning rock bands, tribute bands, and comedians. Most of the theater's 1,500-person capacity is standing room but reserved and VIP seating is available too. If you'd like to live near this beautiful concert venue, check out these Huntington homes for sale just a short drive away.

  • Boulton Center - 37 W Main St, Bay Shore, NY 11706
This historic theater in Bay Shore hosts live music, comedy, and theatrical productions and has played a key role in the Long Island arts scene since 1903. The Boulton Center is small and intimate, so there isn't a bad seat in the house. The acoustics inside are excellent and the staff is very friendly. The theater is surrounded by great bars and restaurants if you're looking for a bite to eat or a drink before the show.

  • The Madison Theatre - 1000 Hempstead Ave, Rockville Centre, NY 11570
Located on the campus of Molloy University, The Madison Theatre provides a stage for Long Island artists to perfect their craft, but hosts world-class performers too. With musicals, comedians, dance shows, and more, there is always an entertaining performance on the schedule. The theater has 550 comfortable seats, each offering a great view of the stage. While you're in the neighborhood, be sure to check out some of these Nassau County homes for sale just a short drive away.

  • Theatre Three -  412 Main St, Port Jefferson, NY 11777
The quintessential community theater, Theatre Three hosts seven productions every year as part of the Mainstage Season along with small plays, original one-acts, and cabaret performances on the Second Stage. They also have an excellent in-house Children's Theater. The venue is intimate and comfortable and can hold about 400 people. If you're interested in performing, you can even submit your own one-act play for consideration.

  • Patchogue Theatre - 71 E Main St, Patchogue, NY 11772
This classic theater has been keeping Long Island residents entertained for over 100 years. Patchogue Theatre is a true community asset. With a state-of-the-art sound system and Broadway-caliber lighting, it's a great place to catch a show. With 1,106 seats (854 orchestra seats and 252 balcony seats), it's also the largest performing arts theater in Suffolk County.

There is nothing quite like the atmosphere created by a great live performance, and Long Island's theaters set the scene for some truly spectacular shows. Contact us if you're ready to make your move today.
