holiday light displays

There's no doubt that communities across Long Island go all out for the holidays, and that's especially true for holiday light displays. Whether you're in the mood for a dazzling drive-through light display near Nassau County homes for sale, an enchanting walk-through experience around the corner from Suffolk County homes for sale, or a little bit of both, now's the perfect time to plan some holiday fun. Our real estate agents are here to help with your guide to holiday light displays around Long Island.

  • Jones Beach Magic of Lights – 31 Cottage Cove Rd., Wantagh, NY 11793
Always one of the most popular holiday light displays anywhere on Long Island, Jones Beach Magic of Lights only seems to grow bigger and better every year. With a drive-through light display, holiday village, ice skating, and more, this event features something for every member of the family. The display will be open every day from now through January 4, 2025, with extended hours every Friday and Saturday evening.

  • LuminoCity Lights Festival – 1899 Park Blvd., East Meadow, NY 11554
The LuminoCity Lights Festival features truly dazzling displays, with more than 40 unique, immersive attractions for you to experience. Walk through a magical wonderland of twinkling lights, including recreations of some of your favorite scenes from holiday shows and stories. There are even special theme nights, where costumes are encouraged. Attend this display at Eisenhower Park through January 5, 2025.

  • Long Beach Electric Light Parade – West Beech St., starting at Ohio Ave., Long Beach, NY 11561
How about a light display where you stay still, and the lights come to you? The Long Beach Electric Light Parade has been a beloved Long Beach tradition for many years, featuring antique cars, floats, bicycles, and fire trucks, all decked out in delightful holiday lights. The parade official steps off from Ohio Avenue at 6:00 PM on December 14, 2024.

  • Huntington Holiday Spectacular – 12 Wall St., Huntington, NY 11743
Is your favorite holiday light display a Christmas tree bathed in thousands of lights? You won't want to miss the grand tree that serves as the centerpiece of the Huntington Holiday Spectacular, which features a busy schedule of events on Wall Street in Huntington through January 2, 2024. See the tree, meet Santa, shop at the holiday market, and listen to live holiday music.

  • GSSC Holiday Light Show – 1500 Lakeview Ave., Bayport, NY 11705
The GSSC Holiday Light Show is an annual event organized by the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, which transforms Camp Edey into an enchanted forest of holiday lights. Girl Scouts do tons of work assembling the displays here, and some of the displays have even been designed by girls from the group. This event will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings every weekend through December 21, 2024.

  • Riverhead Holiday Light Show – 2549 Splish Splash Dr., Calverton, NY 11933
Open every Thursday-Sunday through December 31, 2024, the Riverhead Holiday Light Show features a one-mile route packed with lights from start to finish and is the largest holiday light display in Suffolk County. There are new displays added to the route every year, and many displays are also synced to the sounds of holiday music. After you see the lights, be sure to stop for a photo with Santa.
