- Oheka Castle Mansion and Estate – 135 West Gate Drive, Huntington, NY 11743
Oheka Castle Mansion and Estate is one of the most prominent historical landmarks anywhere on Long Island. Perched on the famous Gold Coast, it was the home of financier Otto Hermann Kahn and family. It is home to a hotel with 32 guest rooms and suites, and it can also be used for private events. It has daily tours.
- Hallockville Museum Farm – 6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901
Hallockville Museum Farm is a local nonprofit organization that helps today's Long Islanders take a look at the family farming roots that defined the region in its early years. It holds regular tours throughout the grounds of the museum and also hosts a variety of classes and workshops. Different parts of the farm recreate various aspects of local life over the centuries. The operation is entirely supported by charitable donations.
- Historic Northport Main Street – 63 Bayview Avenue, Northport, NY 11768
Historic Northport Main Street was the setting for the paintings of renowned American artist Edward Lange. Lange lived from 1846 to 1912, and many of his works immortalized Northport. To this day, you can still see many traces of the historic Northport that Lange loved so much when you tour the local area. Historians have been known to conduct walking tours to point out relevant landmarks on a regular basis.
